Coming home - I will be there soon. Nine days of roadwork has invigorated me. Oh, I’m tired right now, but a good night’s sleep in my own bed will solve that. It’s been a phenomenal adventure. Galveston and Houston were incredible. I wrote about them here:

On Monday I will be playing a few tunes at our Triumph Over Stroke fundraiser at Harvey’s Garden:

I am so thankful to be able to do these things deep into my 70s. I recognize how fortunate I am to have my health and most of my sanity. I miss my bandmate, the great Doug Moncrief. It is hard to wrap my brain around losing him five years ago. He would have loved working on the film with me, and needless to say, would have been with me on Monday.
The very good news is that Shawn is on the mend after open-heart surgery. He’s got a new pig heart valve. The old one lasted over two decades. I’ll be seeing him this week.
I will be starting another semester at Le Moyne. Summer disappeared, didn’t it? But, I will be home. And I will remember all the wonderful things that this summer brought me. The gigs, the screenings, the recordings, and most of all, I got to spend time with my family. I got to see all seven kids and all 10 grandkids.
Yeah, I know. My cup runneth over.
Stay tuned. More news is on the way. Including the releases of The Artist and the Astronaut DVD and Soundtrack Album.
