Valentine's Day
Love is cool.
Like most of you, we too, are living in a pod. No band practices, no big recording dates, no dinner dates? Yikes, and it’s Valentine’s Day! In times like these, family is everything. When you are holed up with just your inner circle, love is more important than ever. My gorgeous wife has been my constant companion through all of these strange times. I know how lucky I am.
Joann is beautiful. That is the first thing people notice about her. When I walk into a room with her on my arm, folks just assume that I must be some kind of a Rockstar. “Why else would such a lovely lady be with that old man?” But, she quickly disarms everyone she meets with her warmth. She truly cares and it shows.
I love being cooped up with this woman. Our endless conversations still intrigue me. Every day brings a new adventure, another chance to enjoy life on the planet.
It is very cold today out here in the North Country. But our little Lakehouse in the woods is warm. The fire will crackle in the fireplace. Tonight we will dine on “take out” from our favorite restaurant. We will celebrate another Valentine’s Day together.
I cherish this life with this woman.
With so much trouble and conflict in the world, somewhere between the pandemic and the pandemonium, love is still so cool.
