Old Doc Turtle
There is a lovely fable that sprang from the imagination of Richard Faith, a storyteller from South Boston. It tells of a young adventurist turtle in the time of Ponce de Leon who drank from the fountain of youth. After centuries of learning, he became the knowledgeable Old Doc Turtle. His adventures, assisting the woodland creatures with their healthcare and disabilities, are stories that help children everywhere face their issues with love and humor.
Jongleur Press publishes the Old Doc Turtle Adventures. Author Richard Faith and Illustrator Todd Hobin bring the stories to life.
Our own musician/singer/songwriter/artist in residence Todd Hobin is working on the fourth book in the series, “I Can Barely See!” Said Mandy Manatee, scheduled for release in February. He already completed work on the second and third books in the series, Crocodilly Lilly, Not So Toothy a Grin, and Bee Scared.
Jongleur Press just announced that Todd will be illustrating the very first Old Doc Turtle Adventure for re-release with his drawings.
Old Doc Turtle Adventures are available at Amazon Books. (You can ask at your local bookstore, but they may need to order it.)
