Todd Hobin to Conduct Orchestra for Grateful Dead Tribute

On Saturday, August 20, 2022, Todd Hobin will be conducting the orchestra in a tribute to the Grateful Dead. The Buffalo Dead All Stars have made a name for themselves as experts in the music of the Grateful Dead. Adding a 26-piece orchestra to the mix will create a unique and very special event for the Western New York music scene.

A symphony orchestra is probably not the first thing you might think of when speaking about the Grateful Dead. The legendary “jam band” is notorious for their extended solos and for going with the flow. When asked, Hobin says, “we will do our best to let the band play, while keeping the orchestra on track and in the groove.” No small task. Classical meets Grateful Dead Classic Rock.
