The work is a little overwhelming right now, so I haven’t had much chance to keep this journal up to date. The movie will dive into its last days of production soon. Songs to record and orchestrations to finish. Speaking of which, Brett just told me to be ready for three more musical scores for some Full Cast Audio Books soon to be published.

Lemme brag a little. A couple of these titles will feature Rueby Wood. We have known Rueby for literally most of his life. He practically grew up right before our eyes in the studio. I will definitely let you know when these audiobooks are released. Very soon, in fact. BUT, RIGHT NOW, Rueby’s movie is out. Look it up. It is Disney’s Better Nate Than Ever. Watch it. You will thank me.

We just finished a long run of Godspell at Le Moyne. The cast was wonderful. A couple of my guitar students joined the professional orchestra playing the show. They were stellar. I even got to play a couple of shows myself. Too much fun.

But wait, there’s more.

Sunday, I had the pleasure of doing a little production work with our Jazzuits. The college’s vocal jazz group performed a set of their most recent tunes. Then a quartet from the group performed with my friends Kim Nazarian and Jay Ashby from the New York Voices. HUGE show with the CNY Jazz Orchestra. Kudos to Larry Luttinger, CNYJO Executive Director. And a special thanks to Paulie Scire, who really brought his A-game to the mix. He always does.

Our podcast, Record Store Radio is kicking. The most recent episode is America’s Folk Hero Tom Rush. He was funny, engaging, and full of historical nuggets on some pretty famous folks. He outta know. He was there. And our next episode is in the can. I am really excited about this one. One of the finest jazz vocalists on the planet and one of my best buds, Nancy Kelly!

Today I finished a page in my next children’s book. See Below. It’s another story from Richard Faith in his Old Doc Turtle Adventures.

SO many people are asking if I will be playing soon. Impossible at the moment. But I REALLY miss playing and I miss you most of all.
