Sunday is a workday in the entertainment business. When everybody else is off, generally speaking, we are on. I notice some of my friends plying the trade today and tonight. I would love to get out there and see and hear some music. We’ll see.

Today is my day to catch up on some writing. And maybe do a little painting. I like to paint or draw. It uses another part of my brain, I guess. Do you find that to be true? Above is a quick watercolor from my sketchbook. It came from some distant corner of my skull.

At this moment we are watching our granddaughter dance. Lyra is in Rochester at a dance competition. They are live-streaming the event. She is remarkable. My kids got used to hearing, “Are you related to the Todd Hobin?” Now, everywhere I go I get, “Are you, (fill in the blank____’s ) father, uncle, grandfather?

I love that.

This week will be filled with writing for The Grail Project with Bruce Coville and Bob Christianson. We are indeed, making progress. I’m actively searching for actors and singers to cast for the demo recording. Yes, we are that close to the end. (FINAL first draft.) I’m looking for singers with great voices who can hit the high notes in a Rock Opera and can deliver a ripping acting performance.

On Wednesday night, I will be presenting - along with my fellow board members - the second class of inductees to the Baldwinsville Community Visual and Performing Arts Hall of Fame.

Thursday we screen The Artist & the Astronaut in Salt Lake City. Bill Muench will be there to answer questions after the film.
